Executive Summary of Mangal Cement

The Mangal Cement Plant, located in Iluhagba, Kogi State, which represents a significant advancement in Nigeria’s cement industry owned by Mangal Industries Limited, the facility commenced operations in July 2024, aiming to bolster the nation’s infrastructure and housing sectors.

The vision of Mangal Cement is to be the most preferred player in the production of cement in Nigeria and West Africa, aiming to bridge the infrastructure and housing deficits in the region. Mangal Cement plant has production capacity of 3 million metric tons of cement per annum, this output is expected to significantly reduce cement prices and address supply shortages in Nigeria, the facility is projected to create over 10,000 direct jobs and numerous indirect employment opportunities, stimulating economic growth in the region.

A dedicated 50MW captive power plant, powered by five Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines, ensures a reliable energy supply, presently operating on liquid fuel. The management plans to transit to natural gas upon the completion of connecting pipeline

The technological and environmental standards make the plant one of the few contemporary cements plant in the world, the plant integrates advanced technologies and adheres to high environmental standards, aligning with Mangal Industries’ commitment to sustainable industrial practices.
