Mangal Cement is the latest and newest cement product to join the cement market in Nigeria. Its first cement plant, line 1,  has started to produce and sell cement which has wide reach and acceptance throughout the Nigerian cement market.

The plant is strategically located at KM 38, Kabba – Egbe road, Iluhagba, Ijumu LGA, Kogi state around the North central states in Nigeria within these coordinates; Latitude: 80 2’5.58” N/ Longitude: 50 57’7.67” E, Latitude: 80 2’40.46” N/ Longitude: 50 56’48.41” E, Latitude: 80 2’21.78” N/ Longitude: 50 55’58.78” E, Latitude: 80 1’45.13” N/ Longitude: 50 56’12.61” E.

The plant covers an area of 62.7 hectares or 0.63 square kilometers and is very easy to reach from the state capital Lokoja by passing through major towns such as Obajana, Kabba and Aiyetoro to reach up to Ilorin when coming from the opposite end. It has an extremely good market advantage to reach and supply its cement (Mangal Cement) to all parts of Nigeria.

Mangal Cement is aligned with sustainable development goal with its latest technology installation in its plant that are environmentally friendly.

Mangal Plant depends on its self-generation of power with 50 MW capacity electricity from its captive power plant (CPP).

Mangal cement is aimed and committed in the production, marketing and distribution of consistent quality cement which shall meet the expectation of its customers and guarantees value for money.

Its operations are in the context of both national and international safety and environmental Compliance.

Mangal cement source 95% of its production material locally and shall drive its product objectives through:

  1. Continuous development of its employees’ skills and competences
  2. Developing its processes to ensure quality products and services that return value for money for all stakeholders
  3. Embracing best practices to leverage its strength (Modern technology – equipment and machineries)
  4. To promoting the understanding of its customers’ needs and satisfaction.

Mangal Cement Plant is a first of its kind in Nigeria as it consists of the latest kiln technology of a double string, 5 stage pre – calciner kiln with highly efficient cyclones, this means that reactive oxides are formed right at the pre – heater tower and the whole of the kiln just produces clinker with higher output. A grate cooler to achieve rapid cooling after thermal decomposition at 1,450°C, a secondary duct from the cooler back to the pre – heater tower to ensure energy efficiency and an electrostatic precipitator to filter dust to reduce air pollution and improve air quality.

Vertical roller mills are installed at the Raw mill, Cement mills and coal mill to ensure high milling efficiency with corresponding high output.

Being able to customize and build layouts of your choice, giving you endless possibilities to showcase your content in an elegant and unique way.

In line with sustainable development which is a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Mangal cement is consistently striving to maintain a balance between economic performance, social responsibility and environmental protection through the following:

  1. Commitment to the health, safety and welfare of staff to achieve zero fatality and lost time incident (LTI).
  2. Training of all employees in relevant subject matter to ensure employees act safely, maintain a safe environment and safe equipment and ensure continuous improvement and competency.
  3. Use of modern, up – to – date and environmentally friendly machinery/ equipment to improve environmental protection.

Mangal Cement currently operates a limestone quarry about 4km North-East of the cement plant. Mining is carried out in a strategic plan observing all Environmental and Safety standards. The raw materials extracted are crushed using a gyratory type crusher and conveyed by Long Belt Conveyors to the cement plant for processing. We are in possession of mining licences around our vicinity in Kogi State which cuts across some parts of Mopa (Mopa-Muro LGA) to Iluhagba-Aiyetoro-Ekirin Adde (in Ijumu LGA). These tenements have been largely explored and estimated to abound in rich deposits of high-grade Limestone. About 95% of our raw materials for cement production are sourced locally. This include lateritic soil occurring as overburden to the limestone which is used as corrective material.
Plans for land reclamation and rehabilitation is ongoing to restored land use (mostly agrarian use and livestock rearing) after extraction of the limestone, together with livelihood restoration plans for members of communities whose land have been bought for extraction of limestone.

Mangal Industries Limited is committed to providing the highest and consistent quality cement in Nigeria and beyond, through continuous improvement of its modern technological equipment and Plant processes in a systematic and sustainable manner.

Mangal Industries Limited acknowledges that this cannot be achieved without continued development of its skilled and dedicated employees.
